Having experimented with some printing techniques, I took a look through my sketchbooks for some drawings to develop into print. I selected four drawings.
- Design from Project 4 which at the time I thought cold be developed into a lino cut.
- Designs inspired by Katagame stencils
- A drawing inspired by Japanesekatagame stencils
- Drawing from sketchbook
I wondered whether I could combine some of these designs into a sample and as I really wanted to work with lino cuts and felt this would be a good technique to use, I started practicing lo cutting. I tried first of all with green lino and then tried some transparent lino cutting material which I found softer and easier to use. Being able to trace my image, helped too.
